Curriculum

Both the classroom and clinical portions of the Nuclear Medicine Technology Educational Program are conducted in the Division of Nuclear Medicine at The Ohio State University Medical Center. Rotation areas include the new Nuclear Cardiology Lab in the Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital, PET/CT lab in Doan Hall, the main Nuclear Medicine Area in Doan Hall, and at OSU Hospital East's Nuclear Medicine area.

University Medical Center personnel conduct all education. The classroom and clinical education portions of the program are carried out simultaneously throughout the program. Didactic education is approximately 400 hours and clinical education is approximately 1,750 hours. This is a full-time program lasting approximately 8.5 hours per day. Class time and clinical rotations are held during daytime hours Monday through Friday. There are no weekend, evening, or online classes.
